A Luxury Quintessentially English Marquee Wedding in the West Sussex Countryside

Findon Place, a beautiful Georgian country house in West Sussex is one of my favourite venues to work at and it was the perfect setting for a quintessentially English marquee wedding for Nicola and Oliver. Nicola and Oliver envisioned a romantic day which was peppered with the memories of their life together. Their weekend wedding was filled with lush English summer flowers, delicate details, and personal touches.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place at the chocolate box of a church in Findon parish, within walking distance of Findon Place, surrounded by rolling hills and picturesque countryside. Blousy florals adorned the church inside and outside, and the Bride walked to the church with her bridal party which was simply fabulous.

The Wedding Breakfast

The marquee was decorated with blousy blush pink, sage green, and white English summer flowers, creating a dreamy and romantic atmosphere. The tables were styled with ikebana style flower arrangements, the place cards were handmade Japanese origami cranes and the tableware was carefully curated to create a luxurious and simple backdrop for the food - all inspired by Nicola’s family heritage. We used a perspex stand to bring forth Nicola’s love of photography and memory making, with her family photos. Styling included a bespoke billowing table plan, luxury lounge furniture and foiled stationery.

The Cocktail Hour

The evening cocktail hour was inspired by the groom's Italian heritage, and it featured a his and hers cocktail choice. The large cake was decorated with lemons and cut with a family sword, adding a personal touch to the celebration and being a complete showstopper!
